App Store Purchase Verification · Official Manual

Shadowrocket Download from the App Store

Paid app, one-time purchase, available only on the App Store. Price and eligibility are determined by the App Store page.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • US price: $2.99 one-time purchase
  • For iPhone and iPad

Check the storefront region and app details before purchasing. After installation, configure the app with your own subscription or server details.

Storefront and Account Region

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. Whether you can see it depends first on the country or region linked to your Apple ID.

The App Store button on this page links to the same Shadowrocket product page. When you open it, the website or App Store may show availability based on your current account. The storefront in the link may differ from the store where your device can currently make purchases, so being able to open the web page doesn’t confirm that your account can buy the app. Check what the App Store shows on your device.

Your device’s language, your current location, and its language and region settings are not the same as the storefront region for your purchase account. If you can’t find the app or see a message that it isn’t available in your region, first check the account used for Media & Purchases. This may be different from the account used for other Apple services on your device. Check the account shown at the purchase entry point, not just the name at the top of Settings.

Where to Check Your Account Region

Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region

To review Apple’s official options for changing your region, open the Country/Region page above and follow the information and prompts provided by Apple. This is only the navigation path; whether you can change your region and what conditions apply are determined by your account page. You may need to address payment methods, account balance, or active subscriptions first. A region change is not guaranteed to be available.

Check your account status first, then return to the App Store product page. If the page says the app isn’t available in your current storefront, searching repeatedly for the same name won’t resolve the region issue. Don’t treat similarly named search results as alternatives. If you’ve paid but the app hasn’t appeared on your device, check your purchase history and download status before paying again.

Three Details to Verify for the Official Shadowrocket App

Check the developer, official icon, and app ID together. Don’t rely on the name or its position in search results alone.

Shadowrocket may be referred to by a Chinese nickname, but a nickname isn’t a reliable way to identify the app in the store. Search results may include similar names, lookalike icons, or other apps with related keywords. Before buying, open the product details instead of deciding from a short title in the results list. Verify all three details on the same product page.

Developer

Check the full name: Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely on a single word in the name or mistake a brand mentioned in the app description for the developer field.

Official Icon

Check for the official icon: a rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, matching the icon used on this site. A similar silhouette doesn’t mean it’s the same app; verify the developer and app ID too.

App ID

Check the number 932747118. The App Store link on this page ends in id932747118; this identifies the product and is not a version number.

Follow the same verification order each time: open the product details, confirm the developer, compare the icon, check the app ID in the product link, then review the purchase button and compatibility section. If any detail doesn’t match, return to the App Store button on this page and open the product page again. Don’t infer that it’s the same app from the icon color or description. A matching app name doesn’t replace the other checks.

Updates after purchase are also handled through the App Store. Check the product page for current version details, release notes, or device compatibility instead of relying on outdated search snippets. This page doesn’t list a fixed version number or update date, so outdated information isn’t mistaken for the current status. Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app; the App Store is the source of truth for availability and purchase history.

Get Shadowrocket on iPhone and Open It for the First Time

Complete the App Store purchase before configuring the app. Installation and a successful connection are separate steps.

On your iPhone, open the App Store link on this page, verify the three app details, and review the compatibility section, price, and purchase button. System requirements are listed on the App Store page. Check eligibility on your current device rather than assuming it will work because it installs on another device. The App Store handles purchase authorization, payment verification, and download progress.

Once the app is installed, open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen or App Library. Installation makes the client available; it doesn’t mean you already have a server you can connect to. Before continuing, have your own subscription link or server details ready and make sure they’re still valid. Your service provider supplies subscription and server details; an app purchase doesn’t create them.

First-Time VPN Configuration Authorization

The first time you try to connect, iOS may ask to allow adding a VPN configuration and require device authentication. This is the system’s authorization process for managing VPN configurations, not another purchase. Make sure the prompt follows an action you just initiated in the app, then follow the system instructions. If you cancel, return to the app and start the connection again. The wording in system menus may vary by language.

After allowing the VPN configuration, check the imported servers, selected item, and connection switch in Home, then review Global Routing. Config, Proxy, and Direct refer to configuration, proxy, and direct routing. Don’t judge the actual traffic route from the connection switch alone. Once setup is complete, use Connectivity Test to check the connection; a successful App Store download doesn’t mean the server is ready to use.

If the App Store download stays pending, check your network and available device storage, then look for pending payment or account prompts. There’s no need to keep changing settings in the app while the download is incomplete. For the import and verification steps after opening the app, see the first connection tutorial. This page covers purchase and restore; the tutorial explains how to configure your own details.

iPad and Other Apple Devices

Buy once with the same Apple ID and get the app on eligible iPhone and iPad devices.

On iPad, first make sure Media & Purchases is signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Then check availability in Purchased or on the same product page. The App Store page lists universal purchase eligibility, system requirements, and device compatibility for iPhone and iPad. Don’t skip the purchase-account check just because both devices show the same contact name.

The larger iPad screen may place lists and details differently from iPhone; the layout in the app is the reference. When following a tutorial, look for interface labels such as Home, Config, Data, and Settings rather than relying on a button’s position on the left or right of the screen. A different layout doesn’t mean you need to buy another app.

Check Purchase History and Configuration Separately

A purchase confirmation from the App Store grants access to the app; it doesn’t mean the configuration has transferred to another device. After opening the app on iPad, check whether your subscription is present, server details are complete, and the correct item is selected. If the list is empty, reimport your existing details before testing the connection. An empty list doesn’t mean the purchase failed.

The first time you connect on iPad, you may also need to allow the system to add a VPN configuration. Authorization is granted separately on each device; allowing it on iPhone doesn’t mean it’s already enabled on iPad. After preparing your configuration, check the network conditions and Connectivity Test results on each device. One device’s test doesn’t represent the other’s.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check availability in the App Store on your target device. System requirements, compatibility, and universal purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page. This guide focuses on first-time use on iPhone and iPad; don’t assume interface locations are the same on other devices.

Restore a Purchase on a New Device

Find your original purchase first, then restore your own configuration. You usually won’t need to pay again to get the app.

When switching iPhones, continuing on iPad, or reinstalling the app, first check which account is currently signed in to the App Store. Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, go to App Store → Account → Purchased, find Shadowrocket, and download it again. Depending on the system version, the app purchase history may appear under “Apps” or a similar item. Open the relevant item shown on your account page.

After finding the app, verify the developer and app ID before downloading it again. If the product page still shows a price, don’t assume you have to pay again. First check that the account used for Media & Purchases, your purchase history, and the storefront region all match. Being signed in with a different account from the one used to pay is a key thing to check.

Restoring the App Doesn’t Restore All Your Data

The App Store stores purchase information. Subscription URLs, server parameters, configuration files, and custom rules are app data. After installing the app on a new device, check whether these items have transferred. If not, reimport them from your own saved details. If you restore from a system backup, verify each item rather than assuming the configuration is back just because the app icon appears.

After reimporting your own subscription, check the server list, selected item, Global Routing, and connection permissions, then run Connectivity Test. If the app opens but can’t connect, troubleshoot your server details and configuration rather than buying the client again. Subscription URLs may contain personal credentials; store them securely and don’t post the full URL publicly.

Family Sharing availability, member eligibility, and purchase eligibility depend on the App Store page and Apple account prompts. Don’t assume the result for one account applies to every account. If you can’t confirm the original purchase, check Apple’s account and purchase history pages for guidance. Handle purchase history and service-provider details separately; repeated attempts at one won’t resolve an issue with the other.

Price and One-Time Purchase

The US storefront reference price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Prices may appear in local currencies in other storefronts; check the App Store page for the current price.

Shadowrocket is a one-time purchase, not a monthly client fee. Before paying, check the amount, currency, and confirmation details shown by the App Store. The US price listed here illustrates the purchase model; it doesn’t mean every region uses the same amount or replace the final payment details shown on your device.

Check your purchase and configuration separately: first, confirm the app purchase in the App Store; second, verify that your own service-provider details are valid. The purchase determines whether you can get the client from the store; your service details determine which servers are available in the app and whether a connection succeeds. Neither replaces the other. An empty list after purchase, an expired subscription, or an unreachable server doesn’t necessarily mean the app purchase failed.

Client updates are delivered through the App Store. If automatic app updates are enabled in system settings, updates can install automatically; you can also check for updates in the App Store. To learn what changed, read the product page release notes and check the relevant settings in the app. Current store information takes precedence over search snippets and previously saved price or compatibility details.

Before buying, complete these four checks: confirm the app is available in your storefront; verify the developer, icon, and app ID; check compatibility with your device; and understand that the one-time purchase covers the client only. Then confirm your payment. For everyday use, Config setup, and connection troubleshooting, see the complete official manual as needed. There’s no need to buy the app again to troubleshoot a connection.

Download and Purchase FAQs

Identify whether the issue is with the store, account, device, or app configuration, then address the right step.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China storefront. The country or region linked to your Apple ID determines which store content you can see; your device language does not. Check your account under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Country/Region, then open the product page using the App Store button on this page. Follow Apple’s prompts to see whether you can change your region.

The product page opens, but the app won’t download. What should I check first?

First identify whether the issue is store availability, an incomplete payment, or a download that’s still pending. Check your account region, payment prompts, available device storage, and network connection. Confirm system requirements in the App Store compatibility section. If the app is marked as purchased, make sure Media & Purchases is signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then follow the store prompts.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall Shadowrocket?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, go to App Store → Account → Purchased, find Shadowrocket, and download it again. You usually won’t have to pay again. If a price still appears, check the purchase account and purchase history before trying to buy it again. After restoring the app, check or reimport your subscriptions, server details, and configuration separately.

Can I use Shadowrocket on my iPad after purchasing it?

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with the same Apple ID, you can get it on both eligible devices. Check the App Store page for iPad system requirements and whether the purchase is universal. Your purchase history and in-app configuration are separate; you’ll still need to check your server details and configuration on iPad.

Where can I get Shadowrocket for Mac or Apple TV?

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check availability in the App Store on your target device. System requirements, compatibility, and universal purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page.

The app interface is in English. What should I check the first time I open it?

Start in Home and check the server list. Use Add Server or Subscribe with your own details. Config is for configuration files, Global Routing selects how traffic is handled, and Connectivity Test checks the connection. This manual keeps interface labels in English; follow the tutorial to check each item.
